2019 Fishing Line Trail 5k Run / Walk

NOBLE TRAILS, INC. IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR THE 2019 FISHING LINE TRAIL 5K RUN/WALK IS NOW OPEN.

The 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, with registration and check-in opening at 7:00 am, and the race starting at 8:00 am.  Walkers will leave immediately following the runners. 

The race will begin at the Gene Stratton Porter State Historic Site in Rome City.  Duplicating last year’s race, the route follows a section of local roads before entering the Fishing Line Trail.  The race then travels back to the finish line at Gene Stratton Porter.

And, in case your feet grow weary, Noble Trails will make the rounds to pick up those who need a break.

Awards will be given for the first three overall male and female runners.  Plus, every registrant will receive a T-shirt. 

Online pre-registration is $20. All proceeds go to the development of more sections of the Fishing Line Trail. Last year’s proceeds made an impact in helping Noble Trails develop more trail.  With construction currently ongoing for sections between Rome City and Kendallville, and within Kendallville itself, these new trails will be open later this year.
